Safety Policy
Lamoom gives you your own AI that talks to men first and helps you decide who's worth meeting. That helps, but it can't replace your own judgment. Please read this before you start.
Lamoom does not run criminal background checks, sex offender registry checks, or identity screenings on its members. We do not check anyone's criminal history, marital status, employment, or whether what they say about themselves is true.
We may ask members to confirm things like a phone number or a photo. Those steps help reduce fake accounts. They do not prove who someone is, and they don't tell you whether someone is safe.
Lamoom cannot promise that any member is who they say they are, or that they mean well. You are responsible for your own safety when you talk to or meet anyone you find through Lamoom.
Your Lamoom AI chats with men before you do. It looks for warning signs and only brings you people it thinks may be a good fit. It's a helpful first filter. It is not a safety guarantee.
AI can make mistakes. Someone who passes your AI's screening has not been "approved" or "vetted" as safe by Lamoom.
When you use Lamoom, you agree that:
If someone makes you uncomfortable, pressures you, asks for money, or breaks our rules, tell us. You can report or block anyone at any time, before or after a date. Reports are confidential: the person you report won't know it was you.
Email safety@lamoom.com or tell your Lamoom AI "I want to report someone." We review every report and may remove accounts. If a crime happened, please also report it to the police.
Before, during and after
Pick a busy cafรฉ, bar or restaurant. Don't meet at your home, their home, or anywhere private or remote for the first few dates.
Let a friend or loved one know who you're meeting, where, and when. Share your live location with them on your phone, and check in when you get there and when you leave.
Use your own car, public transit or a rideshare. Don't accept a ride from your date, and don't share your home address until you trust them.
A short video call helps confirm they're the person in the photos. If they always have a reason not to, take that seriously.
Look them up. Search their name and photos, and check that their story adds up. Lamoom does not do this for you.
Hold back your home or work address, last name, and daily routine until you know someone well. Never share bank or ID details.
Watch your drink being made, keep it with you, and know your limits. If you leave it, get a new one.
You never owe anyone your time. If something feels off, it's okay to end the date, walk away, or ask staff for help.
